How to reach Anini

Nearest Airport: Dibrugarh (Mohanbari) Airport in Assam, approx. 148–300 km depending on the route measured; Tezu Airport, a closer regional option via Roing. Nearest Railway Station: Tinsukia (New Tinsukia Junction) in Assam, approx. 138 km to Roing, with a further stretch on to Anini. By Road: Fly or take the train to Dibrugarh/Tinsukia, drive to Roing (4–5 hours), then continue to Anini via Mayodia Pass on a scheduled bus (running a few days a week) or hired vehicle, a further several hours over a demanding mountain road.

Best time to visit

March–May: Pleasant weather, the most manageable window for road conditions. June–September: Monsoon season, significant landslide risk on the Roing-Anini road. October–November: Clear and cool, a strong window before winter snow sets in. December–February: Cold with snow, particularly at Mayodia Pass; road access can become unreliable.
