Bir Billing refers to two connected villages in Kangra district — Bir, a Tibetan settlement in the valley, and Billing, the high-altitude take-off point roughly 14 km above it. Together they form one of the world's well-known paragliding destinations, drawing pilots for the annual Himachal season while still retaining the calm, monastery-dotted character of a Tibetan settlement at the valley floor.
